Ah-Q Jazz Arkestra 2023 Daniel Pearl World Music Days
The Ah-Q Jazz Arkestra commemorated the 2023 Daniel Pearl World Music Days with a special performance on Saturday, October 28th at De Factto. We invited a very special group of musician friends to form a larger performance ensemble, and to craft their own special arrangements of Ah-Q original compositions.
Since its inception in 2002, thousands of events in more than 140 countries have been dedicated to Daniel Pearl World Music Days, inspired by the life and work of journalist and musician Daniel Pearl, who embraced the power of music to make friends and form connections. He was killed by terrorists in 2002.
Ah-Q Jazz Arkestra has been a longstanding participant in this annual global concert network that uses the universal language of music to affirm the ideals of tolerance, friendship and our shared humanity.

- Guitarist and composer Simone Schirru missed the performance for health reasons, but contributed a beautiful composition, and the post-production mixing and mastering of the concert recording.
